With the upcoming 25th Anniversary of the Diablo Franchise, we wanted players to delve into the darker side of the Nephalem's past. Power can be alluring, and the road to the Burning Hells is paved with good intentions. Cunning Nephalem who find and wield these Soul Stones must exercise caution. These Soul Shards hold immense power-power that once belonged to the Prime and Lesser Evils. Though the Black Soulstone has been destroyed, lingering fragments of The Lords of Hell once contained therein still persist in Sanctuary. We are expecting this update to be released on December 7. Read on to learn more about the season theme and balance changes coming in Patch 2.7.2. Season 25 will begin on December 10, at 5PM (PST/CST/KST) shortly after our next Diablo III update. Update on 12/3: Content in red represents changes recently made from PTR 2.7.2. Update on 3/25: Season 25 is will be ending on April 10. See the following post for exact times for each region. Stay tuned for updates and details on Season 26 here. Plus, the annual Darkening of Tristram event is still going strong, just in case players want to mix seasonal competition with some retro references.Update on 4/11: Season 25 has ended. Season 16 will begin later today at 5 PM PST for all consoles and will run until around 5 PM PST March 17th. Oh, and Season 16 also comes with a new patch, complete with changes such as ludicrous increases to the set bonuses of certain class abilities. Players can expect quite a few quality of life changes, such as no longer worrying about Legendary potions taking up valuable bag space and easily finding Primal Legendaries (some of the strongest items in the game) with easy-to-find signal beams. Now, with every new Season comes an excuse to tweak gameplay mechanics, and Season 16 is no different. Gamers can channel their inner speedrunner with the Speed Demon/Need for Speed and Boss Mode/World’s Apart conquests, and players can also show they’re the king of every class, ability, and armor set with the Years of War/Dynasty conquest. Some players, however, complete quests for the thrill rather than reward, and Season 16 has them covered with new Seasonal Conquests.
